Is it Clean?

I may never stay in a hotel again. Watch this video of how they clean those glasses in your room from Devine Caroline. And I'm not big on using plastic cups needlessly either. Does anyone have a travel size dishwasher? I guess I could boil water in the coffee pot and then clean my own glasses.

Thats totally gross. Another reason I hate to travel. ICK.

Here's a little tidbit that bothers me: Public restrooms often have the ends of rolls for you to use the last few squares of TP. Before you use them, consider how many times it may have been dropped on the floor and what kind of icky stuff may have been dragged onto that floor on everyone's shoes. Why would anyone want to touch it let alone wipe with it??

Ewwwww! I guess I'm bringing my own dish soap or just drinking soda/water/juice from the bottle with a straw!

Talk about major health code violations!!!

Disgusting isn't it? Years ago I decided to try working in housekeeping at a local big name hotel. My first day, the woman training me washed the glasses, cups and coffee pot in the bathroom sink with hot water and a washcloth. I quit! Now I never use the hotel glasses or the washcloths, either. Guess what she used to clean the bathroom floor, tub AND toilet? Yep, washcloths. Yuck.

yeah, that's pretty gross. but the hotels i usually stay at aren't nice enough to even offer glasses. so i guess i won't have to worry too much.

Just bring your own sports bottle, and use it in the room and to go running. problem solved. How about the germs on the remote control, bed spread, telephone, etc. I bet here are lots of stories to tell about those germs.

Oh puke!!! That was so gross! I think we will take water bottles when we travel.

Thanks for the heads-up on that. That was disgusting. I have on several occasions attempted to make coffee in the in-room coffee pot only to find either the pot or the coffee mugs had dried/sticky coffee still in them.
