It took me awhile and while I wasn't thinking about a 47 by 47 goal. I am now thinking about 48 by 48, 48 things to do by 48 and all things 48. You'll see my plan in less than 48 hours and it'll make you smile 48 times. This will be the year of 48.
So, if you know of anything I should do 48 times or for 48 hours, minutes or seconds. Or anything else to do in the next year that is 48, let me know.
Things I won't do:
Run 48 marathons
Eat a 48 ounce steak (although tempting)
Run for 48 hours
Climb Camelback Mountain 48 times
Go to 48 Diamondback baseball games
Race in 48 races (well maybe)
Birthday Plans
It's a low key birthday. I'm sure I'll be getting some presents from family and we usually go out to eat in the evening. But, tonight I have a softball tournament and I'm still watching my weight because of Viv's Weight Loss Challenge that doesn't end until Sunday. I'm in first and would like to get first pick of the really cool prizes she's lined up. So, the dinner has been postponed until sometime next week.
Last Nites Run
It was just a short 2 miler. I ran it all, except for the very end when I walked a bit before turning my secret agent GPS unit off (Garmin). It was cold here, around 65 and I was freezing. I ended up wearing my PF Chang's Rock and Roll sweat shirt over my running shirt. It's nice to have the cooler temps. But, I'm the kind of guy that complains when it's too cold and complains when it's too hot. Luckily, I complain to myself. And occasionally on this blog.
So, remember to give me some ideas for my 48th year on this planet.

Happy Birthday, and congratulations on the weight loss.
Ride a bike 48 miles this year.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Excellent job on the weight loss. WOOT WOOT!!! :D
Happy Birthday! Great accomplishment. Going to 48 Diamondback games might be pretty cool...siting 48 different seats...
Happy Birthday!!
Happy birthday, and congratulations! I know how good it feels after losing a significant amount of weight. 70 pounds here. If it hadn't been for my own weight loss I wouldn't be running now, but in my case, running wasn't the means to lose, it was what I became able to do after the loss.
I do have a question though: how do you weigh yourself while holding the camera? You weigh less without holding it in your hand.
65 degrees is freezing?
Gasp! You're going to waste away to nothing! I am so jealous, sitting here stuck at 225. Shocking, I know. Congratulations, Pat, and Happy Birthday! Now, how about eating 48 cupcakes?
Awesome job with the weight loss! 48 things before turning 48? Hummm...I'll have to think about that one.
Awesome losses, Pat. Happy 47! I'm honored to have been able to share some of your journey.
HAPPY DAY PAT!!!!
I consider myself very lucky to have met you, back when you were still young....
;)
But now during your 48th year....how about running a 48 miler? Okay, since they probably dont have races that distance you might have to step it up for a 50 miler. Zane Grey?? Or a 50K?
I hope you have a GREAT day....you deserve it! Good luck racing this weekend. We'll talk about you during our 8 miles tomorrow :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAT!! Great job on that loss, just super! Hang tight over the next two days, a lil slice of cake would push me over to the top =), hehehe!
Happy Birthday! And great job on the weight loss!!
Happy birthday! Mine is coming up on Nov. 21. I'll be 48. Ugh!
Happy belated birthday, Pat! Congrads on the weight loss!
Happy Birthday and congratulations on meeting your 47 by 47 goal. I'm just a couple weeks from 48 myself. How about running in 48 different places/routes this year? You would just need to run somewhere different once per week. Sounds like fun to me.
LOL on the sweatshirt at 65 degrees. It was 59 degrees with 80% humidity and a breeze yesterday, and I still couldn't run with my jacket on. I put it on when I was done though!
Happy Belated Birfday Pat! Run a 10k in 48 minutes. Each subsequent year, you can add one minute to your time.....
