Mile 1253, Chandler, AZ - And all day long. We don't get to run in the rain much around here, so I suited up and went for a quick run before dinner. It went smoothly, but I hate sweating inside a layer of clothing. I did about 2.3 miles. The garmin doesn't like it when it's overcast, so I had to figure out the mileage when I got home.
Ken from Detroit sent me a tee for winning the Biggest Loser. Here it is. On the back it says, "Getting Foot Traffic in Detroit Since 1983." Pretty cool tee. If you haven't checked out Ken's blog, you should. He's a great guy that helps train Team In Training athletes up in the big mitt.
He's, also, participating in the Race Across Arizona. Speaking of the Race Across Arizona. I did my first 2.3 miles that can go toward that journey. I'm 2.3 miles from the Mexico border. There tends to be quite a bit of walkers in this part of the state, however, they tend not to be US citizens. I only need to go 407.7 til I get to Utah.

Glad we got our long run in before this mess hit!
Yep, we have the rain going through here, too. I don't mind running in the rain, it's the part of not having rain gear for running that causes a slight problem.
Have a great week, Pat!
I happened to catch your marathon on FSN yesterday before my long run. They didn't focus too much on the middle of the packers. Looks like you had a heck of a day.
isn't running in the rain totally odd? i loved it yesterday!
That's a good thing, right -- rain in Arizona? Yay Pat, for getting out and running in it!
It took me a while to realize what that "families running" sign was about, 'til I realized your proximity to our southern border!
Ah, Detroit. My sister lives there. That's the only good thing I can say about the place. :-)
Oooooo I *heart* running in the rain. Lucky you!
I was thinking that those you're referring to probably aren't really walking from Mexico, are they.
I should just say for the record... after visiting Ken's blog, I can see that there are a lot more good things about Detroit than I thought. Like Ken, and his running and walking friends. Sorry.
