Today, I waited until it warmed up to get in a six mile run. The first mile heading east on the canal is not very pretty. It's not an active canal with running water. The weeds are high, so I'm thinking it hasn't seen any water, except for rain. The second mile is along Freestone Park. It's an equestrian trail that is easy on the legs. Scenic, since you can see the grassy hills, minature train, lakes and softball fields. Not sure why I didn't take a picture of the park. But, I did get pictures of goats and cows.
Then mile 3 is part concrete paths thru the neighborhood and dirt path thru the horse properties. I ran to Greenfield Road. But, it was time to turn around. On the other side of Greenfield Road is the Gilbert Library and Raparian Water Park. The RWP has lots of trails meandering inbetween lakes and supposedly lots of birds to watch. I'll safe that for another day.
This week has been great. I've gotten to run the Gilbert Canal, Dreamy Draw and the path along the 202 in Chandler.
What's this picture of?
They both have to do with running, but aren't really related.

I would say the thing in the foreground is the inside of a disposable timing chip...
the thing in the background looks like rubber bands... hmmm... perhaps... well.... I have no clue.
One of them is the new kick-butt disposable chips that have been popping up, but the other one... I dunno, a ball of old shoelaces?
yip, i say shoelaces and disposable chip.
Ditto on timing chip and shoelaces. Do you keep the shoelaces off of every pair of shoes?
hmmm... they look too thin to be shoelaces, but perhaps that is an optical illusion.
Although.... I now have this crazy notion of saving the shoelaces from every pair of shoes I use. That would be a neat collection to show off.
I have no idea on the picture....how do you take a camera with you during your runs?
I think that is a rubber band ball that you are adding to with each run. Right?
Looks like you are finding some great places to run.
Nice photos! Yup, shoelaces and timing chip. Nice quiz!
I am thinking it is not shoelaces... I am thinking it is an Arizona Republic Rubberband Ball...!!!!
(dang i'm good!)
