Last night I got in a 10k to make sure my heel could survive a longer run. I was able to do it at a 11:10 pace, so I think I should be fine tomorrow morning, as I toe the line up in Scottsdale.
Last year I did this race in 2:27:41, a pace of 11:17. My Personal Record. I then added 4 miles on to my total run to get ready for the marathon I had scheduled.
No bonus miles tomorrow. I hope to be under an 11 mpm pace for the entire race. That would give me a 2:24 finish and a new PR.
