A Walk in the Park

Today's run wasn't a walk in the park. It was, however, a slow jog around a beautiful lake. I went to drop off my entry fee for this Sunday's half marathon and I turned into the wrong subdivision. Before my eyes I saw a beautiful lake with a trail around the entire perimeter. It looked a lot more beautiful than the canal.
I just wanted to get a bit of running in before the half. 3.5 miles in a slow 47 minutes. I would have been faster, I swear, but I got a call from a client.

Last night the D'backs won again. Now it's off to Chicago. Go D'backs.
Last night my men's softball team played in our season ending tournament. It takes three wins to win it all. The first game I pitched and we won 14-3. Now, in softball there's lots of scoring, so when the other team only scores 3 runs the pitcher gets bragging rights. Until, the second game. In that game we lost 21-15. Those boys could hit the ball far. I actually thought I pitched better against them. But, between their hitting and our defense we got out played. Tonight the coed team plays. Hopefully, better results.

I can't forecast sports worth a crap.
